FAQ
Where is the Studio?
My in-home photography studio is located near the French Valley Library in Winchester, California, conveniently serving families from Temecula, Murrieta, Menifee, Canyon Hills, Lake Elsinore and surrounding areas. At this time, I do not travel for in-home or outdoor location sessions. All sessions take place in my studio where everything is fully prepared and styled for your experience.
How many photos will we receive?
Please refer to the pricing page for full details on how many edited images are included with each package. All of my collections are all-inclusive, so everything is clearly outlined for you with no hidden fees.
Attire
I recommend wearing neutral tones to complement the timeless look and feel of my studio. Think soft beiges, creams, browns, whites, and other earthy tones. ( please avoid black ) Keep in mind outfits do not need to match perfectly. Mixing textures and coordinating shades photographs beautifully and creates a more natural, effortless look.
I suggest avoiding busy patterns, bright colors, or large logos so the focus stays on your beautiful family and your little one.
I also offer a client closet with a selection of dresses for moms and outfits for toddlers. If you’re interested in using any pieces for your session, feel free to reach out beforehand. Everything needed for baby is fully provided.
When to book?
The best time to book your newborn session is around your 20 week ultrasound. I only take a limited number of newborn sessions each month, so reaching out early is the best way to guarantee your spot on my calendar. When booking, I will reserve a tentative session date about one week after your estimated due date. Once baby arrives, we can adjust the date as needed to ensure the perfect timing for your session.
A $25 retainer is required to reserve your spot for the month.
How long is a Newborn Session?
Session times can vary depending on baby’s needs and how many feeding or changing breaks are needed throughout your session. For deluxe newborn sessions, I reserve up to 3 hours in my schedule to allow plenty of time for family portraits, sibling photos, baby-only setups, and all the breaks in between. Most sessions are finished around the 2 hour mark, but we always move at baby’s pace and go with the flow. This is why it is also important to make sure to eat a nice meal before your photo sessions. We want everyone fed and happy as possible. If siblings are attending, there is a park in my neighborhood as well as nearby shopping centers where your partner or a family member can take them once their portion of the session is complete.
What to bring for your session
provide everything needed for your baby’s session, including props, outfits, wraps, bonnets, headbands, and more. If there is a style you love from my Instagram, feel free to send it over before your session so I can plan a similar setup for you. If not, I’m happy to thoughtfully style and select everything on your behalf.
Your only job is to focus on feeding baby and relaxing. Whether you bottle-feed or breastfeed, we will follow baby’s schedule and allow plenty of time for feedings, cuddles, and comfort as needed throughout the session. I do recommend bringing a bottle prepared and ready to go, along with a pacifier if your baby takes one.
When will photos be ready?
I aim to deliver your full gallery within 7-10 business days. Please allow up to 2 weeks during holiday season.
